Once in a lifetime
The rawness of this 2006 film, shot on a budget of just 100,000 Euros using two digital camcorders over three weeks, is charming, beautiful and inspiring. This is a beauty Hollywood will probably never be able to replicate. It makes me want to pen a song, write a movie script and shoot an independent film.
Before I’d have been happy just to be inspired, would have soaked up the feeling and hoped it would last. But last night, as I watched all the special features in the Mamma Mia! DVD, I realised it isn’t enough for me to just be inspired anymore; I want to know what I’m going to do about it.
