Last year, I made my first ever online shopping purchase. The experience unfortunately didn’t go as well as I’d hoped. I ordered two pairs of shoes and they took forever to arrive – apparently they were held up and then there was some miscommunication on the part of our postal system or something. Whatever the reasons (and there were more than one), it took a really, really long time.
Very long story short, one pair of shoes eventually made it after a couple of months and the refund for the other pair, which had to be returned to the supplier because they were faulty, took another few weeks. It was a long, terribly drawn out process although, credit to the business owner, she threw in a free gift because of all the mishaps.
The experience made me a little wary about online shopping and I stayed away… until this week. Our resident fashionista S found GoJane.com, this American shopping site that sells great-looking stuff at reasonable prices and that, best of all, ships to Malaysia!
So I caved. Four of us pooled our purchases and placed an order. I bought three pairs of shoes for just under RM180 (including shipping costs) and I got an email today informing me that our orders will be shipped out within 72 hours. We’re really excited. I really hope everything goes smoothly this time.
