On the eve of our fifth wedding anniversary, hubby and I slept in separate rooms. No, it wasn’t because of a fight, although we did have a fight about the fact that we were sleeping in separate rooms, it was because hubby wouldn’t let me leave baby Kaylin to sleep in her room by herself. [...]
Me: Happy anniversary!
Hubby: [Panicked look] Huh? What’s the date today?
Me: It’s the 2nd July because it’s past midnight.
Hubby: [Checks the clock] Oh ya, happy anniversary!
[We hug.]
Hubby: Four years and counting.
Me: Uh huh.
[We go back to watching Wimbledon.]
Y and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary yesterday. I use the term “celebrated” very loosely because we didn’t do anything.
