Two short ones
If you’re wondering what I’ve been doing with my nights, here are two short reasons:
The Day After Tomorrow
Do not watch it. The storyline is ordinary, the script is cliched, it’s not as good as the preview looks. Having said that, this might actually be one of the first Hollywood films to portray third world countries as “saviours” to the Western world.
Annie
The mad drive to Genting, mad rush through dinner, and mad run through the Genting Resort looking for the “Arena of International Stars” was all worth it. We arrived literally seconds before the curtain opened. I didn’t know what to concentrate on, I wanted to observe and remember everything – the acting, the props, the choreography, the live orchestra just a few feet in front of me. The singing and dancing were pretty good, even if the sound system stuffed up practically the whole of one scene. And they actually had a real Golden Retriever on stage with Annie! Again, a pretty ordinary and cliched storyline, but because this is a musical (and I really absolutely completely love musicals), I totally enjoyed myself.
HEY THERE
Sophia is a writer and a mum. She is passionate about entertainment, sports and telling a good story. She is occasionally nerdy. This is where she talks a little bit about work, but mostly about her path to supermum-hood. Or so she likes to imagine.TWEETS
