Which part of ‘wrong number’ don’t you understand?
Someone rang me on my mobile today. When I said ‘Hello’, he said ‘Siapa ini? (Who are you?)’
Now why would you call someone if you didn’t know who they were?
I answered, ‘Siapa ini?’ And he hung up.
Thirty seconds later, my phone rang again. When I said ‘Hello’, he said again ‘Siapa ini?’
I said ‘Cari siapa? (Who do you want to speak to?)’
Pause.
He handed the phone to someone else. I repeated my question. He said something I didn’t catch; a name, presumably.
‘You have the wrong number,’ I told him.
‘What?’
‘You have the wrong number.’
Pause.
‘Really? Come on lah.’
I didn’t even know what to say to that. He said it again. I told him he had the wrong number again. He finally hung up, just as I was about to myself. I hope he was rather embarrassed.
Come on lah?! Hmmph.

HAHAHAHAH come on lah HAHAHAHHAA
I tend to be very rude to people who demand to know who is it on the phone when in fact, they dialled the number first! So much so, I sound like I’m going to bite their heads off at the other side of the line that they take the hint and slam down the phone without a ‘sorry’. I love being rude to rude people…
you should play along…waste his money…HAHAHAHA…then a while later u tell him, sorry wrong number…
i always come across phone calls like this. i guess people just so sure that the number is definitely right, that’s why they even left out the basic phone call manners. it’s kinda funny sometimes. i even got people called up and scolded “pukimak” right away without asking who is this until i said, “ini orang Cina lah bang…” “oops… sorry”.
seems to be happening once too often. have had that too. i wonder what’s the real intention.
Chern Hwei: Hey, hello! Fancy seeing you here. How are you? Popped by your MySpace site; good stuff!

sadly a lot of m’sians do that… hang up and then call back, and double/ triple check that they indeed call the wrong number. wat dun they understand?
